Well I was shocked just a few minutes ago when I randomly found out that Jeff Gordon has once again changed his paint scheme for the #24 DuPont Chevrolet. When I first started watching Nascar, about 12 or 13 years ago, Gordon ran the popular "Rainbow" Car. He won the majority of his races under that paint scheme, and he even earned 3 championships out of it. Then in 2001, the first major change came. He switched over to the current "Fire and Flames" Car. With that he has added to his win total, now at 81, and he won a 4th championship.
Now 8 years later, he is switching yet again, and I fear that this might be the final one. This is known as the "Firestorm." This car could possibly be the last one he drives in the Nascar Sprint Cup Series. Gordon is probably in his last few years of racing, and if he keeps this paint scheme for as long as he kept the previous ones, this just might take him to retirement. Hopefully, he will be able to pull out a few more wins and maybe even a 5th championship with this new car.
